American biodiesel can reach 136,000 barrels per day.

According to the data recently released by us energy information administration (EIA), the production capacity of biodiesel in the United States is currently about 136,000 barrels per day.

In recent years, American fuel manufacturers have increased renewable diesel production facilities in their investment portfolios, seeking ways to survive the transformation of petroleum products. Due to the high production cost of renewable diesel, its production and import are heavily subsidized by the US government and some state governments.

According to the data released by EIA, five new renewable diesel production plants were built in the United States last year, which increased the output of renewable diesel and other biofuels in the United States by 44% to 282,000 barrels per day. Two new renewable diesel production plants have been built along the Gulf Coast and the west coast of the United States, and one new renewable diesel production plant has been built on the east coast, bringing the total number of renewable diesel production plants in the United States to 22. At the beginning of this year, the renewable diesel production capacity on the west coast of the United States increased by 2.5 times compared with last year, reaching 82,000 barrels per day.

In terms of ethanol production, the opening of an ethanol production plant along the Gulf Coast of the United States increased the ethanol production capacity of the United States by 2% to 1.18 million barrels per day.
