A word game about "batteries"
Regarding the battery problems reported by car owners, the reporter found that there are the following differences in the power battery between different versions of Geely Galaxy L7: HQ6472DCHEV01 is the 115km version, and the power battery is the Ningde era; HQ6472DCHEV03 is the 55km version, and the power battery is the honeycomb energy; HQ6472DCHEV04 is the 115km version, and the power battery is the honeycomb energy.
This was confirmed in a response from a Geely manual customer service to the owner. At the same time, the customer service also emphasized that the battery cells of Geely Galaxy L7 are provided by Ningde Times and Honeycomb Energy. The MIIT website can check that Geely Galaxy L7 has never advertised that the battery cells are only from a single brand.
According to the 371st batch of "Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Product Announcements" released by MIIT, the power battery carried by Geely Galaxy L7 comes from Honeycomb Energy. As early as the 371 batch announcement was released, there were media reports that Honeycomb Energy’s first short-knife flying stack battery L400 was mass-produced at the Yancheng base and will be equipped with a variety of models from Geely, Great Wall and other car companies. This new player, which has attracted much attention in recent years, is joining hands with more and more car companies. For example, the Air version of Li Auto’s popular model L7 also uses Honeycomb batteries. And from the 369th batch of "Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Product Announcements" released by MIIT, the Galaxy L7 model with the announced model HQ6472DCHEV01 has a battery of Ningde era.
From the official record, it is true that some models of Geely Galaxy L7 use Ningde era batteries, and some use Honeycomb energy batteries, but when it comes to specific publicity, it is ambiguous about which battery to use. A prospective owner of Geely Galaxy L7 from Hefei, Anhui Province, said that after the conference that night, the sales said that the SHIELD battery system used the cells of Ningde era, so they paid a deposit of 2,000 yuan on the app. Now the sales say that the low-end model is a honeycomb battery, and other models are mixed. According to the official statement, the reason why the two battery suppliers are filed is because they are worried about the lack of production capacity caused by the supply of a single brand, but in the eyes of some car owners, it is a manifestation of cost reduction. Although the batteries of the two brands are used, another Geely online customer service said that the manufacturer will not supply a certain brand for a certain batch or some users, but the two brands coexist. The same world-class safety standards, the same production line, and the same lifelong quality assurance commitment of Sandian. The implication is that Geely Galaxy L7 will not choose different brands of batteries according to the high and low configuration, but is similar to the state of "opening the blind box".
The braking system is still better at home
Regarding the issue of the wrong version of the brake system, the reporter noticed that in the 369th batch of MIIT "Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Product Announcements", the ABS of the Galaxy L7 model with model HQ6472DCHEV01 is Bosch. In the 371st batch of MIIT "Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Product Announcements", the model is HQ6472DCHEV03, the ABS is Bosch/Zhejiang Shuangli; the model is HQ6472DCHEV04, and the ABS is Bosch/Zhejiang Shuangli. The above announcement means that the ABS (anti-lock braking system) ultimately used by Geely Galaxy L7 was chosen between Bosch and Zhejiang Shuangli. According to the feedback from car owners, Geely finally chose Zhejiang Shuangli.
As a century-old enterprise, Bosch’s position as a supplier is self-evident in the industry, while Zhejiang Shuangli, according to Tianyancha information, is a company established in December last year. This disparity has caused car owners to question the latter’s quality control.
It is worth mentioning that a major shareholder of the latter, Zhejiang Xingchuang Automotive Industry Development Co., Ltd., is Zhejiang Jirun Automobile Co., Ltd., which is Geely Automobile. This means that the ABS ultimately used by Geely Galaxy L7 is actually from its own Geely.
As for the recorder mentioned by some car owners, the configuration table does not show the standard one, and the owner needs to buy it by himself. What can be seen is that behind the various actions of Geely Galaxy L7, there is a common point: cost reduction. From the perspective of car owners, these cost reduction behaviors are annoying, but from the perspective of manufacturers themselves, the competition of new energy vehicles has gone from qualifying to knockout.
