More sporty, test drive the new Audi A7L RS suite racing version
SAIC Audi’s new Audi A7L will be officially launched on March 1. The new car will launch the Standard Edition and the Special Edition. The Standard Edition offers three configuration versions: 45 TFSI Luxury, 45 TFSI Quattro Luxury, and 55 TFSI Quattro Flagship. The Special Edition has 45 TFSI quattro Darth Vader Edition/RS Suite Racing Edition and 55 TFSI quattro Darth Vader Edition/RS Suite Racing Edition. After a series of end point discounts, SAIC Audi A7L’s sales have now stabilized, with deliveries exceeding 6,000 units in January this year.
As a younger product, the biggest change in this revamp of the SAIC Audi A7L is the addition of a new version of the RS kit. Arrow feather gray paint is the limited color of the RS kit racing version, and when paired with the blackening kit, it gives a high-performance feeling. The hexagonal middle net has been changed to a blackened honeycomb style, and the styling design of the vents on both sides of the front is also more sporty. The headlights are still sharp high definition matrix LED headlights, and intelligent laser headlights are optional. The side of the body is also enhanced by the blackening kit. The 21-inch black wheel with red calipers, with black rearview mirrors and window trims, and RS stickers under the rear door, the whole package is harmonious. In addition to the blackened lower enclosure at the rear, a small black rear wing is added to the trunk cover for obvious decorative effect. The A7L RS kit version also focuses on creating a sporty atmosphere in the interior, using an exclusive shadow gray color scheme and matching the exclusive sub-gray plaid aluminum trim. The front seats are replaced by one-piece seats with RS hot stamping and diamond stitching, and the interior is filled with a hard texture.
The new Audi A7L has not changed significantly in power configuration, and the RS package version also has two power options: 3.0T + 48V light hybrid and 2.0T. The 3.0T version will have more configuration, active air suspension, DAWS all-wheel steering system, and Quattro. The 2.0T model is equipped with an inline four-cylinder 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 180kW (245Ps), a maximum torque of 370N · m, and a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Although the data of the 2.0T engine will be significantly different from that of the 3.0T engine, the same displacement four-cylinder engine is common in medium and large luxury cars, and this engine has 90kW/L liter power. Therefore, there is no need to worry about the power reserve.
The starting and early acceleration of the 2.0T engine are relatively brisk, and there is no need to pump oil violently. The accelerator pedal is more supple to adjust. The whole power release process is very linear, not particularly active but not very lazy. It focuses on a relaxed and comfortable, and daily driving on urban roads is stress-free. The feedback force of the accelerator and brake pedal is slightly heavier, and the steering wheel steering feels heavier, giving it a very stable driving texture. Although the 45TFSI model will not be equipped with air suspension and rear wheel steering, the actual driving flexibility is still not poor. Even if the steering wheel feels heavy, it is delicate and accurate enough, and it is very flexible when cornering or changing lanes, making people feel that it is a medium and large car with a wheelbase of more than three meters. The chassis adjustment of the A7L is also more pleasing, ensuring comfort while also giving the driver a certain road feel. It is very straightforward to handle bumps. It is the familiar taste of German cars and has a sense of advanced positioning.
The target audience of SAIC Audi A7L is those elite groups with personalized needs. The introduction of the RS suite racing version further enriches its personalized options and broadens its target to a younger population. (Source: SAIC Audi)
