  Xinhua News Agency, Brussels, June 2 (Reporter Li Li Wang Hongjiang) On the afternoon of June 2, local time, Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China met with reporters together with European Council President Tusk and European Commission President Juncker to introduce the results of the 19th China-EU Leaders’ Meeting.

  Li Keqiang said that under the current international situation, both China and Europe advocate maintaining free trade, following international rules, and promoting economic globalization in a more inclusive, inclusive and fair direction. China and Europe should respect each other’s development paths chosen according to their own national conditions, respect the diversity of civilizations and jointly safeguard world peace, stability, development and prosperity on the principle of mutual respect and equality.

  Li Keqiang emphasized that the two sides communicated on the EU’s fulfillment of Article 15 of the Protocol on China’s Accession to the World Trade Organization. China believes that the rules of the World Trade Organization must be observed, and the EU should earnestly fulfill its obligations under Article 15 of the Protocol on China’s Accession to the World Trade Organization and jointly send a positive signal of respect for multilateral rules and international order. China has noticed that the EU has indicated that it is revising relevant laws in this regard, and hopes that the relevant amendments will conform to the rules of the World Trade Organization and be non-discriminatory.

  Tusk and Juncker said that we had a constructive and fruitful meeting with Premier Li Keqiang. Europe and China are important strategic partners, and both sides attach great importance to developing bilateral relations and cooperation. Our respective successes and bilateral cooperation are in the common interests of Europe and China. Through this meeting, the two sides enhanced their consensus, narrowed their differences and increased their willingness to cooperate. The EU is willing to deepen cooperation with China in the field of climate change and jointly implement the Paris Agreement to bring benefits to the world. The two sides held serious discussions on issues that both sides attach importance to, such as fulfilling Article 15 of the Protocol on China’s Accession to the World Trade Organization. Consensus is increasing and differences are narrowing.

  The leaders of the two sides also answered questions on China-EU relations and international and regional hot issues.
