In 2023, the cumulative production and sales of China automobile industry exceeded 30 million, and the sales volume reached 30.094 million, up 12.0% year-on-year. In the whole year, the market sales volume showed a trend of low before and high after, fluctuating upward, and the competition pattern of the automobile industry continued to intensify.

(2)GB 39732-2020 "Automobile Event Data Recording System" was released in December 2020. For the newly applied vehicle type approval, it should meet the requirements of this standard except the B-level elements and Article 4.4 from January 1, 2022, and all the requirements should be met from January 1, 2024. This standard mainly stipulates the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, appearance and identification of the automobile event data recording system.
(3)GB 19578-2021 "Fuel Consumption Limits for Passenger Cars" was issued in February 2021, and it will be implemented for vehicles with type approval from January 1, 2023. The standard mainly stipulates the fuel consumption limit requirements based on the kerb quality of passenger cars under WLTC cycle conditions.
(4)GB 9656-2021 "Technical Specification for Motor Vehicle Glass Safety" was issued in April 2021. Since January 1, 2023, the glass of the newly applied type approval vehicle should meet the requirements of vision safety, strength safety and damage safety.
(5)GB 16897-2022 "Structure, Performance Requirements and Test Methods of Brake Hose" was issued in August 2022, and it will be implemented on January 1, 2023 for the newly applied vehicle type approval, and on July 1, 2023 for the vehicle type approved. The standard mainly adds requirements such as rapid tensile strength of hydraulic brake hose and bending fatigue of pneumatic brake hose.
(6)GB 15084-2022 "Performance and Installation Requirements of Indirect Vision Devices for Motor Vehicles" was issued in December 2022, and the standard mainly added relevant requirements such as the use of electronic rearview mirrors and borderless endoscopes. The standard was implemented on July 1, 2023 for newly applied vehicle types.
(7)GB18352.6-2016 "Limits and Measurement Methods of Pollutant Emission from Light Vehicles (China Phase VI)" was issued in December 2016, which stipulated the requirements of type inspection, production conformity and in-use conformity inspection of pollutant emission from light vehicles in Phase VI and the determination method. From July 1st, 2023, all light-duty vehicles sold and registered shall meet the requirements of this standard, in which Type I test shall meet the requirements of the limit value of stage 6b and Type II test (RDE) shall meet the requirements of the limit value. On May 8, 2023, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs and the General Administration of Market Supervision jointly issued the "Announcement on Relevant Matters Concerning the Implementation of the National Six Emission Standards for Automobiles", allowing some light-duty automobile models with the results of the actual driving pollutant emission test (RDE test) to be sold until December 31, 2023.
(8)GB 4785-2019 "Regulations on Installation of External Lighting and Light Signaling Devices for Automobiles and Trailers" was issued in December 2019.
